Cholesterol is bad for the brain

Hospital Clinic of Barcelona has carried out a study that seems to be quite clear that both the loss of memory and language impairments and lack of care in adult age have much to do with the levels of cholesterol in the blood.

And for all of us, is nothing new, the fact that cholesterol is bad for your health, but this new discovery sheds some light on what are the negative effects of cholesterol.

The study was conducted on people with high cholesterol, a significant increase in cholesterol from birth, and more than 22% failed a test used to detect cognitive impairment. What gives faith, that there is a relationship. (more…)

Poor oral hygiene

Poor oral hygiene can lead to breathing problems and heart.The purpose of taking care of our teeth goes beyond have fresh breath and shiny teeth. It’s a basic matter of health, but can also save us from conditions that lead to death.

Over 90% of Mexicans have some type of oral problems, the dentist said Gilberto Perez Alfonso, a professor at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).

Goji berries an ally for your health

The history of goji berries goes back to about 2,000 years ago in Tibet, Korea and Japan, these berries were used by the seventh-century Tang dynasty and Ming dynasty of the sixteenth century for medicinal purposes.

Goji berries derived from two shrub species in the Solanaceae family close together: Lycium barbarum and Lycium chinense, thanks to this fact we can know clearly that the source of goji berries spread from southeastern Europe to Southeast Asia.
